The main research of this article is spinel ferrite materials, which used for high power LED heat dissipation.lt is a new type of inorganic non-metallic materials, composed of iron and one or more other metal ion. In spinel crystal structure, different valence cations can enter tetrahedral or octahedral gap and form different types of spinel compounds, which have some good properties, such as electrical, magnetic and optical. Research shows that spinel ferrite materials have good radiation performance in infrared wave band, and can improve by part ions doped to form mixed spinel material.This paper based on spinel MgFe2O4 materials, and improved their infrared radiation performance by different technology or ion doped. Their microstructure and property were characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT IR), power particle size, scanning electron microscope (SEM), infrared emissivity and porosity. The main contents are summarized as follows:The high-purity spinel materials of MgFe2O4 have been prepared by the way of GNP. With the incressing of glycine, the combustion reaction was more severe, a large number of holes appeared. Through high temperature sintering (1100℃), the holes gradually disappeared and infrared emissivity can be 0.83 in band of 3~12μmThe spinel materials of Mg1-xMnxFe2O4 have been prepared by solid reaction. With the increasing of Mn-doped, crystal cell expanded and produced distortion. Mg0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4 has the best performance which infrared emissivity can be 0.776 and 0.936 in band of 3-5 and 8~12μm.The spinel materials of Y3+ -doped Mg0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4 have been prepared by solid reaction. With the increasing of Y2O3, crystal cell shrinked and produced distortion. Mg0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4 with 0.6wt.% Y2O3 doped has the best performance which infrared emissivity can be 0.869 and 0.948 in band of 3-5 and 8~12 μm.The spinel materials of Co/Y-doped Mg0.8Mn0.2Fe2O4 have been prepared by solid reaction. (Mg0.8Mn0.2)0.7Co0.3Fe2O4 with 0.6wt.% Y2O3 doped has the best performance which infrared emissivity can be 0.848 and 0.945 in band of 3~5 and 8~12μm.
