Cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine (HMX) and Cyclotrimethylene trinitramine(RDX) are powerful explosives which are used around the world now,they are widely used in the solid rocket propellant and the explosive composite. Insensitive materials are the hot research area for its character of high security and survival ability. The sensitivity of explosive is not only related to molecular structure, but also related to its crystal structure such as crystal microstructure of physics, size distribution, crystal morphology and so on. The modified explosives such as HMX and RDX have higher security. And the balance among the explosive energy, low sensitivity, cost of them can be easily solved. LLM-105 is the Insensitive High Explosive.The properties of its metal complexes are excellent.The complexes have a broad prospects for application in solid propellant.th.ese two classes of compounds are the main research contents of the subject.The high quality crystal of HMX、 RDX were obtained by using recrystallization technology based on solvent-nonsolvent method. Apart from this,the compatibility of HMX and the energetic complexes of LLM-105 was researched and the catalytic effect of the energetic complexes of LLM-105 on the ammonium perchlorate decomposition was researched too.The main research content is as follows:The HMX and RDX were recrystallized by using acetone,acetonitrile, cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, butyrolactone as solvent.The influences for the crystal morphology of HMX and RDX in the recrystallization process was studied,such as non solvent, temperature, stirring intensity, the charging mode.Dimethyl sulfoxide is the best solvent for HMX recrystallization and butyrolactone is the best solvent for HMX recrystallization.The influences for RDX particle size grading such as the dosage of non solvent,none solvent feed rate,stirring intensity,join the seed et al. Level 3 and level 4 spherical RDX was prepared by using solution etching method.The impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of spherical RDX,recrystallization high-quality RDX, raw materials RDX was tested. The result shows that the impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of RDX was reduced.The impact sensitivity of spherical RDX and morphology rules RDX is approaching.The friction sensitivity of spherical RDX is superior to morphology rules RDX.The Copper and Cobalt complexes of LLM-105 were prepared and DSC curves of them at various heating rateswere tested.The kinetic parameters of the first exothermic process of two complexes such as apparent active energy (E) and pre-exponential factor(A) are studied by the Kissinger’s and Ozawa-Doyle’s methods. Curves of activation energy changing with temperature at the different conversion rates are acquired by using the conversion degree a and its corresponding temperature T.the curve equation of the two complexes were studied by using the Ozawa methods.The compatibility between the Cu,Co complexes of LLM-105 and HMX was analized.The results shows that the Cu complexes has a good compatibility with HMX and the Co complexes has a good compatibility with HMX when the proportion is 1:9.Two kinds of complexes have strong catalytic effect towards ammonium perchlorate (AP).the higher temperature of ammonium perchlorate decomposition was decreased dramatically.The catalytic effect of Co complexe of LLM-105 is better compared with the Cu complexe and it is better than some inorganic oxide in the aspect of the reduced degree of decomposition peak and increment degree of heat release.
