First of all, the center of the catalytic combustion furnace temperature characteristic and pollutant emission characteristics were studied in empty heat case and pottery heat case. Through to measurement of the center of the furnace, the rule that the center of the furnace temperature increase like a ladder shaped up with the flow of gas input rise. Under the stability of the catalytic combustion state, the highest temperature of the centre in the furnace was measured. By comparing the course of emission CO and CO2 contaminants with the furnace temperature curve, the CO was low emission in the case of empty heat. In the process of heating pottery, at a temperature between about 500 ℃ ~ 600 ℃, the content of CO would increase and get the peak value. But as the temperature increases, CO emission slowly recovered a low emission values. The CO2 emission has nothing to do with whether heating pottery or not, emission remained the same low level, and was lower than other fossil fuels. Emission of CO rose in the process of buruing pottery. But in comparison with the emissions standards of industrial furnaces, highest level of it was low two orders of magnitude. It belonged low emission. Preliminary evidence that the natural gas catalytic combustion furnace was low-carbon clean furnaces was provided. Skills of heating catalytic furnaces were mastered. In the course of the study deficiencies of the natural gas catalytic combustion furnaces were found: the center of the furnace temperature was not high enough, and should be improved to prepare for heating Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty.Then, the catalytic combustion furnace was put to heat Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty.Firstly, temperature change rule of the catalytic combustion furnace which has been improved wad studied. The temperature limit in catalytic combustion of natural gas furnace was measured. The highest temperature of center position of the natural gas catalytic combustion furnace met the requirement of the temperature of heating Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty.Secondly, pollutants of catalytic combustion furnace which was improved had been measured. In the cases of empty heat and heat Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty, pollutant concentration was measured. NOx emission curve showed that whether heat Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty or not had no effect with NOx emissions. It was far lower than the standard value of industrial furnaces and almost closed to zero pollution; As for CO2, release curve of different cases were substantially coincident. It had very low emission; As for CO, in the process of heat Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty, furnace produced more CO at the high temperature stage. But the average of emission of the whole process was about one half of the standard of industrial furnaces. Therefore, it was also a lower emission. Because the combustion exhaust gas did not contain CH4, fuel was fully utilized. So it proved that natural gas catalytic combustion furnace was clean and low-carbon.Third, the heated Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty was evaluated from the appearance, color, feel, etc. High-quality Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty was heated the case of low-carbon, low-pollution. It provides an idea to replace high-polluting traditional industrial furnace which heated Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of Tang Dynasty.Finally, the problems of the catalytic combustion furnaces existing in the experiment were described. The development direction of the catalytic combustion of furnaces was predicted and the applications were introduced. With the gradual application of in-depth study of the catalytic combustion, it is believed that it must make a great contribution for the country toward a low-carbon green road.
