Compared with the metal material, composites materials have the advantages of high intensity and large stiffness. Composites materials can improve the performance of materials by controlling layer thickness and layer direction. This can give full play to the performance of the composites and achieve highly unification between material design and structural design. If composite materials are used in the plane,we can greatly reduce the weight and production cost of the aircraft through optimizing the ratio and order of layer in the case of ensuring the same bearing capacity of the plane. The optimizing of composite materials is the key problem to make a major breakthrough of structural designing in plane used composite materials. We will do the optimization of the composite wing to get the lightest quality and meet the bearing capacity. The main work is showed as follows:(1)We calculate the stability of composite laminate by using the engineering calculation method which combines engineering and theory. The comparison is made between the results of the engineering calculation method and finite element method.(2)According to the adaptive technical route of the composite wing box, the order optimization of laying up is conducted, and the layer library is set up for size optimization of composite material.(3)To ensure the coarse model of composite wing box accurate, the check of pre-processing is made before prediction analysis of model. The paper selects serious condition of wing by utilizing single value package line method, in order to solve the problem that actual conditions of wing need many times to compute. Finally, size optimizations are made by commercial software.(4)We compile the tool set of pre-processing and structural stability calculation of composite material by using Tcl/Tk scripting language to save the time of modeling and calculating.The paper verifies the route of optimization technology by using examples and completes the optimization of the composite wing box. The tools are exploited to save the time of modeling and calculating. The paper has a certain reference value in terms of optimization design of composite laminated plate structure.
