With the development of industry, material plays an increasingly important role in product design and human daily life. In the nature, various corrosion phenomena will happen in its surface, such as rusk, crack, material corrosion characteristics is formed, the feature is an important index for judging material corrosion grade evaluation, corrosion feature level of materials is a criterion to judge the material environment adaptability. At present, it is mainly using manual method to detect and obtain corrosion feature. Because of the subjective factor, the detection result is often different, It will bring error in the material corrosion data information analysis, thus it is also affecting effective application of material corrosion data.Therefore, how to deal with real-time detection and processing plays an important role in the material corrosion characteristics grade.The natural environment testing of the material samples means to directly expose to the environment, the change of the external partial or whole corrosion of material is tested, it is a phenomenon that image feature information is changing, so, the real-time monitoring of material appearance erosion characteristics is established under machine vision, so it is used to capture the real-time image information.It is indispensable means to find object defects changes, at the same time, it is necessary to deal with the image characteristics of the monitoring material, to acquire the change information of observed objects and specific work as follows:(1)According to the original value monitoring of the material sample should have accurate positioning monitoring and controllable information requirements. Detection equipment in the pan tilt system(PTZ) control system, it is built posture feedback hardware platform of real-time monitor to obtain material corrosion feature information, Through the improvement of deflection angle detecting device, PTZ deflection angle pulse information is collected and feedback it to the decoder, it is used to establish the deflection angle calculation formula to process PTZ deflection angle information, then feedback the result to the PC, thus PTZ feedback is formed among PC,decoder and PTZ, it can realize accurate control of the PTZ, to improve the PTZ operability and intelligent level.(2)In order to objectively describe characteristics of material corrosion, accurate description of the original data information content based on information resources of material corrosion, the classic automatic threshold segmentation method and the improved level set segmentation method is applied to video images, then it is the segmentation and extraction of the main characteristics of target image content. At the same time, corrosion image target feature is calculated, the size and area changes of the corrosion image characteristics target are given.In this paper, the computer technology,machine vision technology, control technology and image processing technology are used to research original information monitoring and processing method based on the material appearance. On the one hand,the function of real-time monitoring of the material external corrosion information is realized, on the other hand, the extraction and processing of material external corrosion has been solved, the purpose of the original value monitoring of material external corrosion feature is achieved, causes to the monitoring of material corrosion characteristics more intuitive, accurate, and reliable.
