| Ultrasonic technology is a high and new technology in the 20th century. It is a very comprehensive and emerging multidisciplinary interdisciplinary subject, which based on physics, electronics, mechanics and materials science, and it is one of the common techniques encountered by all professions and trades.With the development of society and technology, ultrasonic technology is widely used in medical detection, mold manufacturing, metallurgy, welding process, and ultrasonic machining which is a very important application. Since the ultrasonic machining has many advantages compared with the traditional machining, it is necessary to study it. Ultrasonic machining equipment consists of mechanical devices and ultrasonic power supply. This paper focuses on the research of ultrasonic machining power supply, and the related experiment had been done in the ceramic ultrasonic grinding equipment. The main contents include:Firstly, the research background and significance of the article was briefly described. That is, the review of the development of the ultrasonic machining technology and deeply reveal the development process and research status of the ceramic grinding machining technology, discuss the research status and development trend of ultrasonic power supply.Secondly, the principle of ceramic grinding ultrasonic machining was elaborated. This article analyzed the characteristics of ultrasonic transducer and the matching circuit was designed. The design requirements of the ultrasonic power supply was given according to the actual situation, the overall scheme of ultrasonic power supply system was presented.Thirdly, this paper introduced the design of the hardware system of ultrasonic power supply in detail, which includes those main components of regulating circuit, high-frequency inverter circuit, feedback circuit, drive and protection circuit and others. The inverter circuit combined with DDS technology, using high precision frequency signal generator which makes the precision of the inverter output as 1 Hz, so that improves the frequency resolution of ultrasonic power supply system and optimizes the performance of the power system.Fourthly, Combined with ceramic edge grinding and the characteristics of ultrasonic transducer to study frequency control and power control and to design frequency control method that boot frequency sweep and automatic frequency tracking and a power control method working in constant power output. After the power turns on, the resonant frequency of the transducer can be able to search by frequency sweep, which ensures the transducer working in the vicinity of the resonant frequency. Automatic frequency tracking ensures its real-time feature of frequency tracking during working.Finally, an experimental prototype was designed, then the circuit characteristics, frequency sweep, frequency tracking performance and power control of the ultrasonic power supply system was tested, and the experimental data and experimental waveforms was analyzed in detail.The experimental results show that:the ultrasonic power supply prototype designed in this paper achieved the desired effect. It can not only realize accurate frequency sweep and fast frequency tracking, but also can work in the mode of constant power output and the frequency tracking worked well. Meanwhile, grinding machining performed in ceramic grinding equipment showed that the cutting force was significantly reduced. |
