The petroleum industry, the chemical industry, the iron and steel industry, the machinery industry and other industries can produce large amounts of water-cut oil. Because the dehydration of water-cut oil is difficult, it can make the physical and chemical properties of oil degradative and create all kinds of safety problems. In order to solve the problem of oil/water separation, we analyze the micro movement characteristics of water droplets in oil and discuss the critical condition of water droplets’ gather and decentralize in water hammer harmonic field through constructing experiment platform, writing programs for data acquisition and building the image acquisition system.And then put forward a scientific, reasonable and new oil-water separation method to increase efficiency of oil-water separation, recover the usability of oil and prolong the service life of oil. So that we can achieve the purpose of recycling, provide a scientific method to protect the environment, energy conservation and emissions reduction. It has an important significance and engineering application value for realizing the recycling of waste resource, energy conservation.First of all, according to the current research situation and the existing problems of oil/water separation devices and technology, we used the early theory research results of the research group to research the experiment scheme of the water droplets’ motion characteristics in oil under the effect of water hammer harmonic field. The oil-water separation experiment device under the effect of water hammer harmonic field was developed from three parts of water hammer harmonic formation device, image acquisition device, data acquisition device in order to further explore the water droplets’ motion characteristics in oil and provide a research platform.Second, when the water-cut oil has no initial velocity, the water droplets’ motion characteristics in oil was researched under the effect of water hammer harmonic field by setting the vibration force of 12 N, 8N, 10 N, 6N and 4N.The trajectory, velocity, number and size changes of water droplets as well as the total number of water droplets in the image acquisition range was researched.Research shows that, under the effect of water hammer harmonic field the water droplets’ trajectory follow the spread of water hammer harmonic in the oil without the velocity. And the water droplets’ velocity increase with the increase of time under the effect of water hammer harmonic field.And water droplets’ number and size increase with the decrease of the vibration force.When the water-cut oil’s velocity was 3.43mm/s, the water droplets’ motion characteristics in oil was researched under the effect of water hammer harmonic field by setting the vibration force of 12 N, 8N, 10 N, 6N and 4N.The trajectory, velocity, number and size changes of water droplets as well as the total number of water droplets in the image acquisition range was researched. At the same time the relationshipof water droplets’ gather and decentralize, vibration force and system pressure was analyzed. Research shows that, under the effect of water hammer harmonic field the water droplets’ velocity increase with the increase of time in the oil with a velocity. And water droplets’ number and size increase with the decrease of the vibration force.And the time period was getted throuth the peak changes of vibration force and system pressure.Finally, in the range of the experiment, four influence factors that is vibration force, time, system pressure and moisture content were analyzed in order to discuss the critical condition of water droplets’ gather and decentralize in water hammer harmonic field through orthogonal experiment. And then put forward a scientific, reasonable and new oil-water separation method to increase efficiency of oil-water separation in order to provide support for the engineering application of oil-water separation technology under the effect of water hammer harmonic field.
