| In this article, designing and weaving out knitted elastic ribbon with wetpermeability and vapor transmission functions. Study on hydrophilic finishing processand the influence in wet permeability, vapor transmission and tension after the changeof latex wire diameter. Finally by setting up two physical models of wicking heightand elastic recovery rate of knitted elastic ribbon, so the wicking height and elasticrecovery rate formulas are gotten.Designing and weaving out knitted elastic ribbon with wet permeability andvapor transmission functions that interweaved by cross section, bamboo-carbonpolyester, water soluble vinylon and rubber latex thread after the melt water solublevinylon. Comparing the wet permeability, vapor transmission, stretching ratio, elasticrecovery rate of the knitted elastic ribbon to common knitted elastic ribbon, the resultsshow that the wet permeability and vapor transmission functions of the designedknitted elastic ribbon have improved, stretching ratio and elastic recovery rate meetthe national standards.Hydrophilic finishing and orthogonal experiment on elastic ribbon are made,researching the change rule of the wet permeability, vapor transmission, stretchingratio, elastic recovery rate along with the change of hydrophilic concentration,dipping time and temperature. The primary and secondary factors of impact on theperformance of the elastic ribbon in turn is: hydrophilic concentration> dipping time>dipping temperature. According to the experimental results, the optimum finishingprocess was as follows: the agent hydrophilic6%, dipping time and temperature at50℃for40min, which could improve wet permeability and vapor transmission functions,especially the wet performance of the finished elastic ribbon. The tensile propertieshave a very small change and meet the requirements of the standard.The influences on elastic ribbon with the change of latex wire diameter arestudied. The wicking height, vapor transmission quantity in the increase and thetensile properties were on the decline with decreasing rubber latex thread diameter.After hydrophilic finishing, knitted elastic ribbon water-resistance property is testedand analyzed. After washing, the width and stretching ratio of the elastic ribbon havebasically no change, wicking height and elastic recovery rate are slightly decreased,along with the increase of washing times. But the wicking capacity is still relativelystrong.The hydrophilic finished knitted elastic ribbon with high wicking are studied,establishing the elastic ribbon wicking height model. The wicking height formula isgotten through calculation. The error percentage is less than5%.It can be used to calculate and predict the wet permeability of this kind of the knitted elastic ribbon with high wicking function. The wicking formula is as follows:At the end of the article, the elastic recovery rate model is studied. Ordinary knitted elastic ribbon as the object of research, introducing the weight factors, establishing the elastic recovery rate model, getting the elastic recovery rate formula. The error percentage is less than1%. It can be used in the calculation and prediction of elastic recovery rate of this kind of the knitted elastic ribbon.
