Lignite keeps a large proportion in the coal resources. How to use the low rank coalmore effectively and reasonably, which has become a hot topic with the decreases of thehigh quality fossil fuels in the field of energy study. It is a high-end upgrading technologyof low temperature pyrolysis expands the utilization approach of lignite.A high-effective low temperature pyrolysis technological scheme has been proposedwith an experiment using muffle and tube furnace, studying the Indonesia lignitepyrolysis influencing factors, rules and mechanism, making the PCI blended coal andmetallurgical reducing agent as the upgrading target, using the production’s financialbenefit as condition. Firstly, optimize the upgrading process of Indonesia lignite due tothe experimental association curves. It shows that the particle size of Indonesia lignite is10~25mm with the drying and pyrolysis medium temperature at200~220℃and600~700℃, the time of drying and pyrolysis is controlled between20min and30minrealizes all the targets. Secondly, eight kinds of typical semi-coke of Indonesian ligniteare studied in the experiment. It shows that with the increasing of pyrolysistemperature,holding time and heating rate, the decrease of the coal particle size, Ti、Tmax、Tfand Thof combustion are higher, burning performance and reactivity decreases,activation energy and thermal stability increases. Through the regression analysis,activation energy of semi-coke is59~90kJ/mol. Finally, according to the correlationbetween Indonesian lignite upgrading and key process parameters, the thesis proposes anew technology with high efficiency for the Indonesia lignite.The experimental research that Indonesia lignite under low temperature pyrolysisand combustion characteristic of semi-coke provides a scientific theoretical basis for thelow rank coal quality. The new technology of low-temperature pyrolysis makes lignitepossess more reasonable mass flow and energy flow.
