Reactive dyes process low prices, complete chromatographic, bright color,which makes it highly compatible with cotton fabrics dyeing. Reactive dyes cancombine covalently with cotton fibers, however, the presence of dyestuff hydrolysis,especially under the condition of dark shade dyeing, involves a need of fixing agent toprovide fixation. The requirements of textiles’ color fastness vary in differentapplications, thus requiring diverse color-fixing agents to meet high demand for colorfastness.However, in the process of dyeing and fixation of the dye, problems, such asuneven and color deviation, occur unavoidable, involving the need of rework timely.After using cation radical fixing agent, multiple cation groups of fixingmacromolecules will combine with reactive dyes’ anionic groups such as carboxylicacid group and sulfonic acid group through coulomb force. Then the dyes are pickedup rapidly and cation groups will formed multiple chelation, which reducespermeability of dyes and makes dyes migration difficult, leading to negative effectson uniformity of counterstain.This paper researches technology optimization of three types of fixing agent ofDessau company and processes fixation of the dye in optimum condition. The fabricperformance is tested to analysis fixation performance and suitability. Then theoptimal removal processes of fixing agent DF are explored. This thesis research isdivided into two parts:The first part was technology optimizations of fixing agent DF (cationic), fixingagent RF (resin) and fixing DRF (cross-linking) respectively. Then the fastness, wetand dry friction, water absorption, strength and resistant to sun and chlorine weretested to determine the optimum fixing process conditions. The second part is to explore the best cement for, and solid technology, soliddosage of4.0g/L, solid and liquid pH value is3, fixed temperature is65degreesCelsius, to solid time is20min.After removal processes of fixing agent by Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate,potential on the surface of the fabric was closest to the original cotton fabric surfacepotential demonstrated by Zeta potential Analyzer. In the infrared spectrum, at1571.7cm-1and1542.3cm-1appeared characteristics absorption of benzene,demonstrated fixing agent DF was inactivated by combination of anions and cations.
