| As a new generation of sensor network,wireless sensor network has very wideapplication prospects. in recent years although our country coal mine safety in productionwork has made great accomplishment, compareing with developed countries, the gap isstill large. Coal mine production in our country is still difficult, mainly due to: the coalmine, the natural environment is extremely bad, it is hard to avoid the happening of manydisasters, thus it brings great difficulties to the work safety in production; Most coalmines have monitoring, monitoring period is long. So the use of advancedcommunications, analysis and processing of information and computer to build coal minesafety early warning system based on wireless sensor network is urgently needed.Through collection of WSN sensor node in coal mine, temperature, humidity, carbonmonoxide, carbon dioxide and methane, oxygen, vibration. It will gather all kinds ofinformation to sink node, data pretreatment and then gather node transmission to thecentral control computer. After analyzing the data with a computer, computer gives thecorresponding control command, assesses the safety of the mine situation, thuseffectively prevent the happening of the disaster.WSN is an important part of coal mine safety in production at present. Manyadvantages of ZigBee wireless communication technology ensure the feasibility ofwireless sensor network application in the coal mine. Basedon WSN applicationcharacteristics, analyzing sink node function requirement and design performanceevaluation, can design the overall scheme of the sink node. After selecting the sink nodeof hardware, the principle of the hardware modules and the realization of the function ofthe specific methods can be determined. Adopting the embedded Linux operating system,ZigBee wireless communication protocol as a network node, system software set a cross-compilation of Linux operating system environment, the boot loader, kernel, file systemto transplant and so on, and realize the node software transplant and configuration.
