Sewage processing is an important measure of the environment protection. At present, there are common problems among the sewage processing industry in our country, namely the low degree of automation and the uneconomical operation which consume a lot of energy and cause huge waste. There are two main reasons for these problems. Firstly, the sewage processing procedure is a large time delay process which is complex and it is hard to build a precise mathematic model. Secondly, during the sewage processing procedure, due to the continuous changes of the quality and the quantity of the water flowing in and the unstable state of the operation, the other parameters and the quality of the water flowing out will change accordingly. It is hard to measure the quality of the water flowing out contemporarily, and the cost of the sewage processing is relatively high. So we have not realized the optimal closed-loop control till now. Dealing with the time delay problem of the sewage processing and realizing the contemporary detection of the water flowing out by improved controlling methods and the soft-sensing technique are hot spots of the researches of the sewage processing area in recent years.In this paper, considering the characteristics of the time-delay, inertia, time-varying of DO control in the wastewater treatment and hard to build accure model, SBR activated sludge pilot plant is used as study project and use DO as control parameter, the system mathematical mode is established through the black-box method.. based on the fuzzy control, the advanced control method based on sewage treatment process were proposed, the control of sewage treatment areas modeling is simulated by Smith and ADRC, it provides an effective way to improve the efficiency of sewage treatment.
