Research On Bumper Mold Of Hot Forming And Pre-embedded Cooling System

Hot stamping die is an important tool to achieve hot forming, it's functions let the sheet form and be quenched to increase the tensile strength. Currently the cooling pipes of hot stamping die are machininged in the traditional way which can not form complex pipe. Pre-embedded method that pipes is curved into designed shape and put into the sand to pour can solve above problem.Hot stamping mold and pre-embedded cooling system are designed in CATIA and knowledge of heat transfer, including entire structure, choice of materials, calculation of parameter of the cooling system, overall layout of the cooling pipe.Manufacturing process of hot stamping mold of bumper and pre-embedded cooling system are studied deeply. All of manufacturing processes that the choice of casting process parameters are the focal point are raised. Finally hot stamping mold of bumper is manufactured successfully.Some experiments are completed in order to study the influence law of quality of formed part in different process parameters which are heating temperature, cooling rate, dwell time and find the best process parameters. The results of experiments show that the cooling effect of mold is very good.
