G7 process, developed by the United States GRACoL,is a new technology to break the traditional printing manners, it is mainly applied on the color value to control the neutral gray balance areas. We control the print quality to achieve the desired purpose of reproduction by introducing new parameters to match the visual images. This process due to the current method has not yet recognized the right standard of tolerance, so for promoting the use of the method will result in certain restrictions.According to tradition and quality control of existing printing methods, mainly off the tip of the plate to measure parts of the control bar to adjust the solid density and dot gain. Since the method of operator experience are higher, and therefore produce different operators often have very different prints. GRACoL response to this situation, proposed to control the neutral gray balance of the G7 as a primary means to control print quality, print runs through the spectrometer, the neutral gray balance portion of the measurement and control to a new NPDC curve (NeutralPrint Density Curve) to match the visual images. G7 process as difficult to control the printing process of the network increases less demanding, thus reducing the printing, while difficult to control, to ensure the printing quality of the actual production has a certain significance.The purpose of this research project is through the gray balance control (mainly to control Lab values of highlight range,highlight contrast and shadow contrast) and the experimental data and the basis of these data TVI curves drawn, NPDC curve analysis to implemente of the G7 process of operating norms and experimental points and create test standard version, and then achieve the calculation of the neutral gray, and the correspondence between the neutral gray and visual density.The main content of this research is to test and control the printing quality by various elements of the standard version of G7, and using the solid density, dot gain, print contrast, trapping rate, gray balance and other data of the print proofs to detect proofs of the printing effect, and through compensation and adjust of the printing parameters in the whole process, and ultimately we can improve the quality of the printing press to achieve the purpose of industrial applications.This papers includes six chapters. The first chapter explained the background, content and purpose of the research.The second chapter explained the principle of G7 process and the main parameters need to control. The third chapter based on the testing requirements and the actual production, designed testing program G7 based on the CTP technology.The fourth chapter details the test method and the control of the process and achived The experimental data required by the test. The fifth chapter is the key part of the paper,in this chapter we analysis of the data and achived the correspondence between the parameters of research required and contact with the actual production, in order to achieve the purpose of guiding production. The sixth chapter is a summary of part of the paper,summarized the research achievements and future direction of development.
