At present batch type asphalt mixing plant is widely used in China's asphalt mixing plant. As the key working mechanism of this type of equipment, forced action mixer with double horizontal shafts directly determines mixing quality and efficiency. As a result of the mixing process of dynamic complexity, the interaction relations between the mixing mechanism and mixture are paid insufficient attention by domestic and foreign researchers, lacking of mixing mechanism's geometry and motion parameters of specialized research. Aimed at mixing parameters of twin-shaft mixer, rational selection and matching of the parameters were studied.This thesis began with mixing device parameters to do a certain amount of theoretical analysis, and proposed that the selection of the mixing parameters must ensure that three-dimensional coordinates of the direction of mixing trough can achieve faster uniform in the mixing tube. On this basis, the mixing speed,return the number of leaves,mixing arm layout,flat-leaf relations,and two-axis mixing arm arranged on mixing quality were studied, and rational range and matching relationship of parameters were recommended.Based on the experimental prototype with adjustable mixing mechanism's parameters, the mixing parameters were studied through experiments. The experimental results show that in the mixing arm arranged with the premise of circle flowing, axial circulation and adverse circulations among the two shafts should be strengthened. When independent arrangement of the mixing arms, stirring speed should be 1.2m/s, back leaf number should be 2, the arrangement of mixing arms on double shafts should be crossed and positive-positive. When mixing arms of paired arrangement, stirring speed should be 1.2~1.5m/s, return the number of two pairs of leaves, opposed blade should be reverse, the arrangement of mixing arms on double shafts should be crossed 1 and positive-positive.Although large power consumption, paired mixing arms have better mixing quality and efficiency, so it is recommended.
