The gas source, current and drainage is the mainly researched in the gob of fully mechanized longwall top coal caving workface of tick coal seam with enriched gas in the article. The horizon of borehole layout is assured by analyzing the mechanical model for overburden rock with the similar simulation test. And the numerical simulation of distinct element modeling is also adopted to modify the result. From the test result, the caving zone, crack zone, integral moving zone is obtained as well as the rational layout horizon. The law of the gas source, current, amounts of gas gush and storage is studied systemically, and the major analysis is stick to the influence factor to the gob gas current and the gas concentration distribution. The rational gas drainage zone is also put forward in the analysis. The mathematic model is set up and simulated using the computer. According to the result, the design for gob gas drainage is made, and effect can meet the need of gob gas drainage. It simplifies the former gas drainage system, and reduce the safety cost .
