Fault Tree Analysis is referred to as FTA, which is an important method of safety system analysis, widely used in aerospace, nuclear energy, electronics, machinery, electricity, mining, chemical industries etc. With the continuous development of modern science and technology, a large number of complex systems increasingly appear, and the complexity of the system increases, the fault tree becomes also the large size of the tree. The calculation of fault tree is NP (Non-deterministic Polynomial) problem. The research on qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation of fault tree has become more and more important.This thesis describes the status quo of Fault Tree Analysis, focusing on the algorithm of Fault Tree Analysis, from the two aspects of fault tree qualitative and quantitative analysis, combined with a number of examples to illustrate and validate the algorithms of computer-aided FTA, which are introduced and proposed in the thesis, lays the algorithm foundation for the realization of the automatic generation of fault tree in future.The concept of correlation matrix is applied, and the correlation matrix expression of Fault Tree is talked, and it is cleared that the relationship between Fault Tree and correlation matrix is one-to-one relationship. The thesis tells the computing steps of solving Fault Tree with correlation matrix, and example to verify the correctness of the algorithm, briefing the advantages of correlation matrix over other methods on solving Fault Tree.It describes the principles and methods of Minimal Cut Sets (MCS) disjointing, and proposes a few rules of Minimal Cut Sets disjointing, and proves the simplification rules, and verified the effectiveness of these rules through examples.Through tunnel construction ventilation system FTA, the paper draws up the tunnel construction ventilation system fault tree. It applied correlation matrix method to find the fault tree's Minimal Cut Sets and Minimal Path Sets, and compare structure importance of basic events, and analyze the causes of the accident, and proposes some security methods to prevent the tunnel ventilation incident. It also applies the principles and methods of Minimal Cut Sets (MCS) disjointing to tunnel construction ventilation system FTA, and caculates the expression of top event occurrence probability, and shows the advantages of principles and methods of Minimal Cut Sets (MCS) disjointing through comparative study with other quantitve anlysis methods.This thesis also talks about the concept of segmentation module, and the simplification rules of the Fault Tree segmentation module, and analyzes multi-fan station mine ventilation system, and draws up the multi-level station mine ventilation system Fault Tree. The paper Applies the simplification rules of the Fault Tree segmentation module to multi-fan station mine ventilation system in the FTA, with a detailed description of the steps of segmentation module to simplify multi-fan station mine ventilation system, and finds its Minimal Cut Sets, and analyzes the causes of the incident, and finally proposes the security measures to prevent the ventilation incident.
