In the presence of metallurgical additives(CaCl2) on balling properties and high temperature baking consolidation properties of Pyrite Cinder has been studied. Through the particle size and bentonite dosage on effect of balling properties of Pyrite cinder was experiment. The oxidized and roasted mechanism of pyrite cinder pellets and the main factors related to the roasting quality.Brought forward the measures to improve the balling and roasting of Pyrite Cinder.Balling properties of pyrite cinder shows that:No grinding on balling properties of pyrite cinder is very bad and high without moisture, unable to meet the requirements of the metallurgical industry. After grinding is an improve the balling properties of pyrite cinder, lower the bentonite dosage and moisture of pyrite cinder pellet. After grinding 3min (level particle size is 0.074mm/95.1%) and 1.0% bentonite. it was found green balls were made with drop strength of 3.9 times from 0.5m, compressive strength of 13.29N per pellet and cracking temperature of 700℃.Baking properties of Pyrite Cinder pellets shows that:The green balls addi-tion of 5% CaCl2, in the roasting temperature is 1250℃, roasting time is 15min, cooling time is 15min. Evaporization duty of S, Cu, As, Zn, Pb is 57.54%,23.08%,15.22%,41.21%,99.59%. pellet oxidation completely, consolidation to recrystallization and polycrystalline hematite grew up mainly to dense pellets, the compressive strength reached 2330.6N per fired pellets. Acid residue to resolve the problem of pyrite cinder pellet strength.Pelletizing of different CaCl2 dosage was experimentally roasting shows that: roasting temperature is 1250℃, CaCl2 dosage is 9%. Evaporization duty of S, Cu, As, Zn, Pb is 56.42%,38.46%,26.09%,69.87%,99.68%, Consolidation isFe2O3, compressive strength is 2054.5N per fired pellets, solve of evaporization duty of nonferrous metals, improve the quality of pellets. The oxidizing atmosphere conducive to increased evaporation duty of sulfur and nonferrous metals. on the solid pellets in not signifi cantly affected consolidation.Pyrite cinder pellets of CaCl2 has the added benefit of volatile sulfur and non ferrous metals. The compressive strength and metallurgical properties required to achieve the metallurgical industry. in the presence of CaCl2, so pyrite cinder production pellets can meet requirements of blast furnace.
