Because of good mechanical strength, scalability and high chemical stability, copper was widely used in various fields, and became the indispensable metal for development of modern aviation industry, defense industry, and a modern system that establish the high level of human material and cultural life.Date from the oxidizing pressure leaching was proposed, an industrial applications has complete in extraction of Zinc, uranium, molybdenum, copper, cobalt, manganese, aluminum, vanadium. The reaction rate can be increased under the condition of high temperature and pressure, so many processes that could not be achieved under normal temperature and pressure can succeed. For the character of clean production, simple process, low investment, high rate of comprehensive utilization about the resources, the higher pressure leaching is expected to replace the traditional pretreatment.This paper gives a review of the nickel smelting and refining process contains dry metallurgy and hydrometallurgy. It also introduced the treatment of copper anode slime. Because of the fist step of the copper anode slime pretreatment is to remove the copper, useing oxygen pressure acid leaching to dealing with the copper anode slime.Use the method of oxygen pressure and acid leaching, we give a pretreatment of decopper, before the laboratory testing, exploratory test was given to find out an better test extent.on this basis, a single factor conditions test contains leaching temperature, partial oxygen pressure, stirring speed, acidity, and leaching time has been given to proof the influence of leaching rate of nickel,then determine the optimum conditions of oxygen pressure acid leaching.The optimum test conditions been:acidity 100g/L, leaching temperature 150℃, leaching time 150min, partial oxygen pressure 0.9MPa, liquidtosolid ratio 6:1 and stirring speed 600rpm.. Under these conditions, the test results been:leaching rate of copper is above 98%,and Copper slag is less than 0.3%.The expansion of semi-industrial experimentation is basis on the lab-scale experimentation, Under the same conditions, the test results been:leaching rate of copper is above 96%,and Copper slag is 0.5%. In a word,use the method of oxygen pressure and acid leaching to pretreatment of decopper is possible.this method is easy to handle and environmentally friendly,it can be reduce costs, increase the handling capacity of the copper anode mud. It have a widely prospects as a new technology to deal with copper anode slime.
