Research And Development Of Plate Component Punching Die Cad System Based On Pro/e

The basic procedure of stamping is punching, Punching die is the key equipment in realization of punching technology. With the acceleration in the rate of product renewal, People are presenting higher demands on design quality and efficiency. In order to avoid redundant work in die design and shorten its development cycle, and improve the quality of die design, it is needed to further develop die designing CAD system. Considering the reasons mentioned above, the project is presented.Based on practical production and numerous date, the project makes a deep analysis on the characteristics of punching dies and thereby proposes an overall plan regarding plate component punching die CAD system. At the same time the 3D parametric standard component by making use of skill such as CAD further developing and parametric design and making use of the powerful function of softwares such as Visual C++and Pro/Engineer wildfire 4.0 and thereby realize friendly man-machine interface and design objective of plate component punching die.Plate component punching die CAD system have the following four characteristics:1) It adds new plate component punching die menus and drop-down menus to Pro/Engineer system menu and it make it easier for users to use;2) It develops 3D standard component model bases, so that the system can draw needed standard components automatically when users choose different parameters;3) It meets the demand of interface technology and users can further develop the system when necessary;4) By use of inserted eDrawings in Pro/E system and publishing files, executive files are formed and functions such as model assembling and disassembling and cut-away are realized in a sofeware-free environment.This system provides a simplified routine of punching die design and shortens its development cycle. It can meet practical demand and have much paractical role.
