WCu composites have high plastic, a good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and other properties of Cu, and also have high-intensity, high hardness, low expansion coefficient, and other characteri-stics of W. WCu materials becoming a new product in the high pressure switch materials, electric resistance electrode materials, electro-nics pack and deposite heat materials, substitute silver copper alloy and so on and acquire extensively applied, become a kind of important function material.Powder injection molding was modified from plastic injection molding process,Its a net-shape process combined with the powder metallurgy and the technique of metals to die-casting, include to mixing, injection molding, debinding and sintering. Make use of the metal powder injection to take shape small size and the complicated shape ware of the technique manufac-turing and compare other traditionally methods to advantage of the techn-ique and cost.In this paper, mechanical alloying, injection molding and other material processing technology were used, and successfully prepared WCu40 and WCu15 series material. X-ray, SEM and other sophisticated means of detec-tion were uesd. With the method of combining theoretical analysis and experimentuse, WCu seris alloys were studied, under the conditions that reasonable parameters were choosed, the content of W on the performance of the organizational structure of alloy was systematically analysed. The relationship between injection and the electrical and mechanical properties of alloy was researched. A further analysis was performed on the mechan-ical alloying powder morphology of the appearance, size distribution, lattice constant. Different contents of W of the materials in the contacts under the conditions of the DC arc of corrosion, corrosion arc after contact, such as changes in surface topography were studied.The results shows that:With the mechanical alloying process conducted, Cu particles become small and broken to achieve evenly distributed in the matrix on the Flake W, with the increase of milling time, the lattice constant of Cu increased and W weakened, To undergo diffusion,Cu come into W and became solid solution.The second phase Cu particles small evenly distributed in the W-based body, with the distribution of a dispersion and fine organization; after injection molding processing, relative density of alloy reached 94.2 percent; With the increase of W, WCu series alloy extension of the conductivity and reduce the rate, hardness and strength increased. In 17 V,12A, under the conditions, WCu 15 alloy contact, contact with the pilot, contact the surface rich in Cu, W-rich areas, holes, porosity, and so on, several erosion topography.with the operation of the increase in the number and quality of the transfer of additional contacts, and with W in the increase in contacts to reduce the quality of the transfer, WCu15 alloy contacts the quality of transfer Less than pure copper contacts, WCu15 contact the quality of the transfer is less than pure Ag contacts, in lieu of precious metals Ag contact materials, a meaningful exploration.
