This dissertation uses the polyamines complexes with pendant-arm as research objects, focusing on the synthesis, characterization and properties of them. Aim to synthesize highly effective novel hydrolyze enzyme, five new complexes, [Cu2(4,4'-bipy)L2(H2O)2](ClO4)4·8CH3OH·10H2O (?) ,[Cu2L2]·2ClO4 2,[Zn2L2]·2ClO4 3,[NiL]·H2O 4,[Ni2L2]·ClO4 5, have been synthesized and characterized by infrared spectra ,element analyses, X?ray diffractions techniques. The electro-chemistry characterization and magnetic interactions between metal ions of these complexes have been studied by the measurements of cyclic voltammograms and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility. The mechanisms of 4-nitrophenyl acetate(NA) hydrolysis of the complexes 2 and 3 have been studied. In addition, the binding of CT-DNA and the cleavage activity of plasmid DNA pBR322 of the complexes 4 have been also investigated. The work is composed of:1. N,N'-bis(3-aminopropyl)-propanolamine has been prepared from isopropanolamine by IR and 1HNMR. A new dumbbell-type 4,4'-bipy-bridged dinuclear copper(II) complex has been synthesized and characterized, X-ray crystallographic analysis shows that the [Cu2(4,4'-bipy)L2(H2O)2]4+ cations and water molecules generate layer structures extending parallel to b,c planes through hydrogen bonding interactions of O–H···O and C–H···O. The layers are also connected by hydrogen bonding interactions involving methanowater, and perchlorate anions. These interactions lead to the formation of rectangular channels of 12.3 (?)×6.0 (?) along the crystallographic c axis. Perchlorate anions fill in each channel in a sandwich-like packing mode, they are joined with the adjacent layers by water heptamers. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the magnetic exchange interaction is weak although it has a regular π-type electron transfer pathway. Furthermore, the electrochemical and thermogravimetric properties of the complex were also investigated.2. Two new complexes, [Cu2L2](ClO4)2(?)and [Zn2L2](ClO4)2 3 have been synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography analyses show that two complexes are dinuclear complexes with bis-μ-alkoxy bridged structures. Their molecular structures are centro-symmetric in which the center point is located at the middle of two metal ions. Each metal ion in two complexes adopts a trigonal bipyramidal coordination configuration. The study of magnetic susceptibilities shows that the magnetic exchange interaction is stronge antiferromagnetic interaction between the two copper(II) centers. Complexes 2 and 3 can accelerated hydrolysis of NA。3. Two Schiff base complexes (?) (uncycle) and (?)(cycle) have been synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography analysis show that the complex (?)is a novel coordination polymer with tetranuclecr nickel(II) macrocycle as a polymeric unit. Two pairs of Ni2+ ion have same coordinate environment in the macrocyclic unit. The alcohol OH pendant-arm from ligand and the acetate oxygen atoms coordinate with metal ions, and the individual macrocyclic units are joined together to form an infinite one–dimensional chain. Cyclic voltammetry indicates that the complex 4 has a pair of reversible redox peaks. Complexes (?) exhibited the efficient cleavage of pBR322 DNA...
