| Objective To investigate the osseointegration of AZ91D ma gnesium alloy modifiedby micro-arc oxidation of rabbit femur .Methods Eight New Zea la nd rabbits were divided into 2 groups randomly: theexperimental group, ma gnesium alloy modified by micro-arc oxidation , and thecontrol group, pure titanium. The samples were collected from rabbit femurs at 4weeks and 12 weekss after impla ntation,then to produce undecalcified bone filmswith grind ing bone impla nt, and with toluid ine blue and methylene blue-fuchsinestaining methods. And to observe the osseointegration between materia ls and rabbitsbone .Results Osteoblast, the experimental group, produced less tha n the control group atthe 4 weeks. But at the 12 weeks ,the two groups have the similar results.Conclusions The AZ91D ma gnesium alloy modified by micro-arc oxidationpossesses good biocompatibility of osseointegration. |
