The study area of West Tianshan and Yili Basin lies to the west of Xinjiang southeastern Kazakhstan and northeastern Kyrgyzstan, in tectonically it belongs to Tianshan tectonic belt Yili and Central Tianshan micro plate. The study area distributes a set of early Paleozoic strata, which is superiority both in stratigraphic distribution and previous studies. This article based on large field investigation and previous research data, Systematic and comprehensive analyze the sedimentary characteristics of early Paleozoic strata. The study areas in the Early Paleozoic are mainly a marine carbonate and sedimentary rocks, through the analysis of sedimentary facies can get a conclusion that study area in the Cambrian-Ordovician experienced a transgression and regression of cyclic sequences, and Silurian experienced another t cycles. Many micro-plates in the whole Xinjiang formats a large unified ancient land in Sinian, that the study is part of it, from the early Cambrian it began a cleavage stage. The study area is a stable deposition of micro-plate in the early Cambrian, from the Ordovician period it experience a plate crack, entered a period of tectonic activity, this event end in the late Ordovician. Early Silurian impacted by the activity of the plate, experienced another tectonic activity, which last to the late Silurian, Since then stepped into a unified evolutionary stage plate.
