GIS's study object is spatial data, however, the rapid development and wide application of geographic information science has led to the generation of multi-sources spatial data, that brings inconvenience to data utilization and data sharing, affects the further development of GIS. Open GIS Consortium OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) based on the reasons above,has brought forward GML(Geography Markup Language); GML specification developed XML-based coding standard which is stand any vendor, any platform.At present, GML technology research has achieved fruitful results.But,GML applied research, including space interoperability, spatial analysis under the conditions of visualization, has not gained a corresponding development; GML only as a kind of spatial information carriers, lack of platform that support for spatial analysis and editing operations.This Paper from the perspective of GMLGIS,studys GML spatial data editing,spatial analysis and some other issues. Main research contents as follows:(1)This article has studied GML data model firstly, and make comparison between GML spatial data model with SFS (Simple Feature specification) spatial data model,describes GML-based spatial data model to build SFS's feasibility; and then analyzes the SAX and DOM parsing techniques,uses DOM technology to parse GML based on it's advantages of operating XML;At the basement of parsing,the first is to build SFS spatial data model,the second is to make the GDI+-based visualization of GML.(2) The fourth chapter focuses on the methods of GMLGIS spatial analysis and editing; spatial analysis, including the buffer analysis, overlay analysis, spatial relationship analysis and spatial query; Buffer analysis and overlay analysis are achieved via open-source software NTS with spatial analysis operator; Spatial relationship analysis uses topological relations operator that in accordance with SFS's Dimensionally Extended 9 Intersection Model to study the topological spatial relationship; Space query, vias the application of topological spatial relation operator,apply it to the XQuery to achieve GML spatial query; Spatial data editing, with the help of Geodatabase ideas, in the visual conditions, using topological rules to check the data's topology errors, then use editing tools to correct GML data topology errors.(3)Finally, under the condition of GML visualization, achieved a simple GIS prototype system based on GML with spatial analysis and editing functions.
