As an importance tool to acquire, analysis and manage spatial geographic data, Geographical information System has been payed attention widely and developed quickly in recent decades. Now it is used widely in many aspects of National Product such as traffic transport, city planning, irrigational construction, airport control and so on.With the rapid development of our country's aviation industry, a lot of new requirement on how to manage airplane and inquiry flight effectively emerged in evidence."The real-time information solution system on basis of GIS"is a management system to allocate and inquiry flight, monitor airplane's situation in real-time and simulate the airplane track dynamicly in GIS map. The system can manage and visually analyze the information and data of aviation resources.The thesis starts from geographic information system, presents the basic theoretical knowledge of Geographic Information System and the workflow of developing GIS, compares the advantages and disadvantages of three GIS system development methods, and focuses on the use of component-based (COMGIS) to develop geographic information systems. Then the thesis discusses the development platform and finally chooses ArcGIS which is component-based software as our development platform.Through the careful analysis of executing situation of civil aviation, first of all, it finished designing the system overall model and given the functional design, the selection of development platform and database design of system. Secondly, it discussed the implementation of some system main functional modules, including map's basic operations, network data receiving and storage, target statistics and regional alarms, and specialized to present detailed how to dynamic simulate objects running track in real-time. At the end of the thesis, it introduced several key technologies used in the system. The use of key technologies improved the efficiency of system and also made the important system characteristic—real-time be fully reflected.This thesis developed civil aviation airport information management system based on visual tool integrated comprehensively with dynamic display, visualization and GIS technology. It achieved visual analysis and disposal of spatial information. Especially the realization of the situation monitoring of running plane in real-time and trace simulation in the system, it has a certain theoretical and practical value on improving the airport management of civil aviation.
