Abstract/Summary:
The eye model is an optical system which can be applied to theretical research of the human eye optical performance and imaging analysis. It is an important reasearch object in the fields of visual optics and ophthalmology.The purpose of this study is to develop a new eye model which base on Chinese eyes. And this model should be able to reproduce the measured wavefront aberration with high fidelity. For this goal, firstly, we measured the parameters of 50 healthy eyes; then, to model chromatic difference in refraction of the human eye, we have established the new chromatic dispersion model using the Conrady equation. Finally, we use 3 different surface types (the Conicoid, the Biconic surface, the Zernike Standard Sag surface) to simulate the crystalline lens anterior surface separately, simultaneously we establishe 3 different gradient-index lens models (the Liou model, the Alexander model, the Blaker model) to simulate crystalline lens refractive index distribution. At the entrance pupil of eye model, the measured eye aberration phase plate is introduced, and is optimized respectively. The results show that the combination of Zernike Standard Sag surface and Liou gradient-index lens can reproduce the measured wavefront aberration with minimum error. Therefore, we used Zernike Standard Sag surface and Liou gradient-index lens for our new Schematic eye. It has an equivalent power of 60.29D and an axial length of 23.99mm. Moreover, we develop and analyze two pursonalized eye models with experimental data.
