Explosive welding multilayered material has the excellent mechanical properties andchemical physics characteristics, whose anti-penetration capability is better than the singlecomponent metal panel; it has the wide application in the national defence and is aimportant development trend in materials science. Explosive welding multilayered materialis a basilica protective material due to its special mechanics property. It will have therealistic significance through studying ballistic performances of this material. In this paperwe will study the explosive welding of the multilayer aluminum plane and itsanti-penetration mechanism.Based on the impact dynamics and materials science and according to the theory ofExplosive Welding Window, there will be a study about the optimum welding parameters.It will develop a one-dimensional finite element computer-aided design program. And willdevelop a research about multilayer aluminum plane and than observant the weldinginterface using metalloscope and micro hardness tester.Temperature controlling is one of the key problems in developing explosive weldingmultilayered material. By analyzing the temperature rising on the surface and the heatconduction, it will set up a temperature field model and find the temperature distributioncurve about the interface.Explosive welding multilayered material has its own terminal ballistics, due to theuneven hardening, wave bonding and the interfacial bonding strength. Using theLS-DYNA and the epic2d, it will have a research on numerical simulation on penetrationprocess of three-layer explosive welding aluminum plane and it also find out the internalrelation between explosive hardening, interfacial bonding strength and the development ofanti-penetration capability.
