Based on the meteorological data involving in thetemperature, precipitation, relative humidity, cloud cover, thenumber of fog days, etc., and the city environment change datainvolving in the city built-up area, variety of population and thetotal exhaust gas discharged by industrial production, using themethods of the Gaussian 9-point filtering, the analysis of theinter-annual change and the prominence testing of the difference inmeteorological element between two samples, etc., thecharacteristics of climate change of Chengdu city and 13 countieswhich is governed by it are analyzed. The results show that, at theend of the eighty's and the beginning of the ninety of the twentycentury, the climate characteristics of Chengdu city take a turn inthe course of changing, where the heat island effect and the dryisland effects were obviously appeared, and there exist a veryclosely relationship between the urbanized process and climatechange of Chengdu city.The evolution of the air temperature of the Chengdu city isprimary and tentatively analyzed using the meteorological data of50 years, the results show that it is the primary characteristics thatthe Chengdu climate becomes warming, where the annual meantemperature of Chengdu city takes a turn change and ascends fastlyafter 1986year, and attains the maximum temperature in the53years. Furtherly, using the five days mean temperature of theChengdu city and 13 counties which is governed by it in1971~2003year, the seasonal change of the climate are investigated,the results also show that the Chengdu city becomes warming,where the temperatures between 1971~1995year are smaller thanthat between 1996~2003year, besides the Spring and Summer timeis ahead of schedule, accompanied by the winter and Autumn timebeing lag. All in all, the Chengdu climate becomes warming.
