Based on systemic summary and analysis of departed research data, through surface reconnaissance, geological survey, actual measurement of stratigraphic profile, typical ore deposit investigation, geochemical investigation and in-door comprehensive study, detailed studies has been done on the stratigraphy, structure, and magmatic rocks of the Kuozhai-Edu area.In addition, combining with geochemical exploration analysis, metallogenic prediction of Kuozai-Edu area is provided.Study results show that this area is mainly composed of Longwu River group of Triassic, subordinate Daguanshan group of Permian and groups of Cretaceous and Tertiary. Those groups mainly consist of slates, sandstones, and locally interbeded limestones. The Daguanshan group of Permian is propitious to mineralization and is the typical ore reservoirs of this area.Regional folding structures appear as monoclinal structures and sub- subsidiary anticlines in the study area.Faulted structures are very common and mainly represented by two groups faults: NE and NW strikes.Magmatic rocks are developed, and are mainly intermediate and acid rocks, represented by Jianligou phyric biotite-granite and Jianligou phyric granodiorite.Early Jianligou phyric biotite-granite is related to Cu and W mineralizations, and late Shuanxibeng biotite granodiorite is related to Au and Cu mineralization.Typical ore-deposits of the study area are skarn-related.When the contact surfaces between the magmatic rocks and forverd wall-rocks are complex, it is propitious to ore mineralizations. In the vicinity of contact belt between Jianligou phyric biotite-granite and wall rocks, there is a scheelite mineralization belt, which is more that 1000m strike and 100m wide.At last, based on the geological setting of mineralization, combined with geochemical abnormality, four potential prospecting areas are predicted firstly, containing two A-grade, one B-grade and one C-grade.The mineralization characteristics of these potential prospecting areas are analysed in detail, which are significant in guiding further ore prospecting in this area.
