Millimeter wave system has many distinct advantages such as miniaturizing system components, increasing frequency band width,providing higher resolving power, uneasily influenced by atmosphere conditions, etc. This makes millimeter wave technique get the increasingly extensive application in radar, communications, electronic warfare, guidance, remote sensing, radiation survey, therefore the research of millimeter system is very vital for civil, the industry, national defense.The cooperating of PCSS and light pulse can produce high power microwave, it is a new microwave source—high power photoconductive microwave source. The keystone is the springing of charged PCSS by using small laser power can translate direct current power to microwave power. It is the newest evolvement in high power optoelectronics by the combination of modern semiconductor technology and laser technology, it will be applied widely in the producing and controlling of microwave,the radiation and receiving of microwave,the microwave communication and swash radar.In this dissertation, the system of high power photoconductive microwave source is studied in theory, simulation and experiment. The high power Photoconductive microwave source is mostly consisted of the design of PCSS,dielectric resonators,output devices of the coupling of dielectric resonator and ultra broad band slot antenna, and realize the integration of all these devices mentioned above finally.The high power photoconductive microwave source investigated in the dissertation has good application foreground in both scientific research and engineering. The array of this microwave source can realize the synthesizing of space power,the array controlled by light of phase controlling, and enhance the exploration ability of radars largely. The piece designed in this dissertation can achieve the pick-up of microwave signal whose central frequency is 3.5GHz and who has a certain bandwidth, further more, it has some advantages such as small volume,low facture cost,array forming easily.
