The several performance indicators of finite time convergence control are considered in this paper. An approach of using finite time convergence control to realize the approximate solution of optimal control is analyzed. The thesis gives a summary introduction to finite-time convergence of dynamic control systems, including engineering background, theory significant, research status, being problem, definition and designing steps, etc. A concise summary is given for current control approaches and results of the sliding mode control. The performance indicators problem of finite time convergence control consist the main theme of the thesis. The research results obtained by author can be devided into two parts:Part 1: The convergence time of terminal sliding mode control for dynamic systems.Several kinds of terminal sliding mode control of finite time convergence used sliding hypersurface and the finite time by the design which driven into each sliding hypersurface until it arrived at the equilibrium point are depicted. It is proposed and proved the use of exponential sliding hypersurface can improve the convergence velocity. Numerical example and the simulation are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach.Part 2: Analyze the performance indicators of finite time convergence control and time optimal control.We considered with the problem of finite time convergence control and time-optimal control in SISO linear system. By analyzing the performance indicators of finite time convergence control and time optimal control, an approach of realizing the approximate solution of optimal control by choosing adequate controller and parameters is confirmed. On the basic of analyzing, an approach of applicating switching control to approximate to the solution of optimal control is proposed. At last the effectivess of the approach is confirmed with the simulation.
