Impact involving flexible bodies is very common during the engineering and projects .It is very useful to investigate the impact for exactly controlling and mechanical designing and so on .As the flexibility of impact bodies, it appears to be very different from that in the rigid systems. The impact problem about flexible bodies has not deeply investigated because of its complexity.This paper divides the entire impact motion into two sequential phases: the phase of impact, the other motion of flexible beam. Different dynamic modeling method is applied to treat different phase .To study the motion of flexible beam, a dynamic model concerning dynamics stiffness effect is been made to solve the rigid-flexible coupling problem. Then a computable dynamic model is got by discrete the dynamic equations with mode shape method .And the momentum balance method is applied to investigate the impact phase .By extending the concept of instance impact assumption and combing the flexibility, it is a better way to get the oblique impact model for the flexible beam impacting with rigid surface.Moreover, a specific case is studied to simulate the reality .By the numerical results, graphics of flexible beam impacting with rigid surface are given. The results also prove that the model adopted in this paper for the flexible beam impacting with rigid surface is in accordance with the fact and the modeling method is reasonable.
