Kunming is the capital of Yunnan province where landslide and debris flow happen frequently and have typical characters. The use of remote sensing technology for remote sensing research of Kunming typical landslide and debris flow can break through traditional methods limit and develop the macro, integrated, visual, rapid characteristics of great practical significance and better results.The paper apply the ETM+ data of the latest series Landsat7 which is currently the most widely used landsatellite and the higher spatial resolution aviation images as the major data sources. According to the characteristics of images and data and landslide and debris flow disaster application characteristics, the paper makes following operations on the ETM+remote sensing data.①Band preferred, choose the 753-band as the best combined band;②Image enhancement, through contrasting a variety of approaches to enhance the effectiveness, choose the main components analysis to enhance images;③Geometric precision calibration, correct the geometric deformations of the image;④Image integration, select better results-HIS , as a major space conversion integration and resolution integration, the images have both a higher spectral resolution and a higher spatial resolution. 1 : 50000DEM ortho-rectified were conducted after scanning aviation images.After the digital processing, better improved the image's visual effects, improved the image-interpretation precision.Remote sensing imagery processed later, the paper makes the systemic sensing research on landslide and debris flow environmental background of Kunming and typical landslide and debris flow on the basis of the field visits and a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of remote sensing images. Main results are as follows:(1) make the effective interpretation on topography, geology, hydrology, vegetation, soil, human engineering activities and environmental background information of landslide and debris flow of Kunming and put forward features of remote sensing images and interpreted signs.(2) put forward features of remote sensing images and interpreted signs of Kunming typical landslide? make the interpretation, on the stability and types of Kunming typical landslide, and finally extract and fence typical landslide of Kunming.( 3 ) put forward features of remote sensing images and interpreted signs of Kunming typical debris flow and interpretation method on typical debris flow-visual interpretation., make the interpreted signs of features of debris flow related activities, and finally make the interpretation on typical debris flow of Kunming.(4) through investigation , get the minimum of the landslides and debris flow which can be interpreted.(5 ) achieve the distributing regulations of landslide and debris flow of Kunming through remote sensing interpretation.
