The author studies the ancient volcanic rock series systematically of Lower carboniferous Dahalajun mountain in Kuoerku—Lasitai of Xinyuan, involving its the field occurrence, petrography, petrochemistry, rock chemistry, geochemistry, isotoplc geochronology et al.,the character of volcanic rock is more systemical researched and its mineral-bearing quality is primary probed.Though the 1:50000 regional geological mapping and general research, the main results in study are following:1. According to its rock characteristic, the rock combination and space distribute, the volcanic rock of the Dahalajun mountain formation is divided into up-segment and down-segmen .But it contact with its top geologic strata of the Akeshake formation in chase ,and it contact with low geologic strata of the Yishijilike formation in chase or unconformable relation, the low geologic strata of the Aketashi formation do not see in this area because the rock body invade,but they present on the district unconformable relation.2.The Rb—Sr isolopic dating of the Dahalajun mountain formation is 337Ma,and there are many early Carboniferous fossil have been found in its top geologic strata of the Akeshake formation,the two evidences can be asctained the ago of the Dahalajun mountain formation is early Carboniferous.3.On the rock chemistry classification it mainly allots for the alkaline series of calcium, the volcano clastic rock is main, the alkaline volcano rock is a little amount, and in basic lava and intermediate lavas there are among them which are often the poor TiO2(<1.2%), the neutral volcano rock is less, with in the acid volcano rock is main.The volcano rock of Dahalajun mountain formation have the character that SiO2 and CaO are higher, other contents are slightly lower or equal with it;As a whole the volcano rock from basic lava to acid lava there have tendency that the content of SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3 vary from low to hight and the MnO, MgO, Fe2O3 change from high to low.4.The analytical research result of the rock chemistry, the rare earth element and the lanthanide indicate that the volcano rock of Dahalajun mountain formation is generated from island-arc environment, this conclusion, this will provide the important information for reconstructing the evolutionary process of the geological structure in the West Tianshan.5. The volcano rock of Dahalajun mountain formation is dominated by outburst phase,and the flooding phase is secondary.the vocano activity is violent.There exists two big eruption cycles and seven small rhythms in the up-segment of Dahalajun mountain formation, while there exists one big eruption cycle and two small rhythms in the down-segment of Dahalajun mountain formation .6. The major mineral elements of P^ Ciu Au> Nk G\ Co et al. obviously low Clark; the average value of Ag, As, Sb, Pb, Z^ Cu> Hg exceed or near to Clark value of the same race chemical element, and all of the elements preponderate over the average value which is in the same race chemical element of in the Xitianshan area. In this area the geochemical abnormity is high, the abnormity area compare greatly, the chemical element combination is whole, the excrescent strength is high,and they have the thick concentrated heart, there is Au, Cu, Fe mine in the abnormality order to distribute,there have a good the mineral background, have further foreground of seek the mineral.
