In combination with the study of project named data-process subsystem of large CCD plane array digital aerial survey camera, this paper introduces the thought about software engineering, adopts the technologies of modeling with UML, proceeds the requirement analysis and structure analysis, completes system design and establishes the system model. Finally, uses programming based on COM to develop practical software based on research about COM technique. The major contents are presented as follows:1. Based on the summarization of current modeling technology, this paper focuses on the study of object-oriented modeling technology with UML. Based on the requirement analysis, we model use case diagram for the software system.2. Analyzing the system's problem realm completely, designing the software basic frame, and developing the basic class libraries due to the application realm for the software system.3. Designing the software system detailedly, designing for the system constructs describes dependency of system classes, and designing for the system behavior establishes sequence diagram for every use case diagram.4. Introducing the feature of the COM programming technology, and applying it to the system development. Having designed the distributing-computed system, settled some problems such as the software reuse, maintenance, etc.The practical operation indicated that it can ensure the system well structure with adopting the programming method based on the technologies of modeling with UML. Meanwhile, the problems occurring in the process of development, such as the document organization, engineering development, the upgrade, the maintenance, recycled usage, etc, can be settled very well.
