The northern Kumutageshalong ductile shear zone is a portion of Qiugemingtashi-huangshan ductile shear zone (Qiu-huang ductile shear zone is called for short ,what follows is the same).The prospecting area is located in northern Kumutageshalong of Xinjing. The stratum consists of Qishan volcanic rocks formation, Wutongwozi formation ,Gandun formation and Yamansu formation of Carboniferous. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the previous data , this paper has exhaustively studied the deformation and features of the microstructures of shear zone in detail, carefully analyzed the features of geometry, kinematics and dynamics of ductile shear zones, and deeply discussed the evolution of ductile shear zones and controling- mine function in further through field work and indoor test. The main conclusions are as follows:1. studied exhaustively the features of the microstructures of ductile shear zone , including wavy extinction, deformation bands, deformation lamellae, deformation twins, subgrains, dynamically recrystallization grains, core and mantle textures, pressure shadows, and relic phenocrysts etc, and also studied their forming mechanisms in primary.2. measured separately the orientations of the quartz and calcite of host rocks, quartz-vein and ore in the field . The petrofabric diagram types have small circle girdle style, maximum style and combination style of small circle and maximum (c+g),which indicates that the section have undergone multistage shear action.3. exhibited the direction of Kanngul shear zone including left-shear and right -shear by the different characteristics of microstructures and the result is coincidence with that of constructure analysis .4. calculated the paleo-stress by use of the dynamically recrystallization grains, subgrains and deformation lamellae and gave relevant different stages. The first stage paleo-stress is about 100.93Mpa,the second is about 48.19Mpa, the thirdis about 176 Mpa.5. calculated the displacement and extensional capacity of ductile shearzones, and the displacement is about 3.77km,the extensional capacity is 0.614%. They are different with the study of formers.6. discussed the special evolution rule of the ductile shear zone ,which has been come through multistage shear of right handed-left handed-right handed-left handed.7. By researching the northern Kumutageshalong ductile shear zone, We discussed the meaning of structure and geology of Qiugemingtashi-Huanshan ductile shear zones, it is the suture zone of Junggar plate and Tarim plate, and also controls the location of igneous rocks, and the mining belt distribution of gold ,copper, nickel and molybdenum in Kanggu'er-Huanshan area.
