To the author's knowledge, in this paper Eu2+-doped Zn- 3 -A12O3 phosphor was firstly prepared in precipitation method for ammonia water and oxalic acid as precipitant. The luminescent intensity of the product was 2.14 times as strong as that by the solid-state method. The optimum of the method was as follows: the raw materials were sintered in 1500# for 6h, then were reduced in 1200# for 3h for active carbon as reductant. When the mole fraction of zinc was 1; the mole fraction of eurium ion was 0.14 and 0.20 for boric acid and barium fluoride as the flux respectively; the luminescent intensity was the strongest. The excitation spectra of Eu2+-doped Zn- 3 -A12O3 phosphor was that there was a weak excitation peak at 226nm and a wide strong peak at 339nm when monitored at 450nm The emission spectra of the phosphor was that there was a wide emission peak at about 447.5nm when excited at 339nm and 254nm. The emission spectra ended at 515nm which was shorter than that of the blue phosphor sailed at market. It was probable to solve the light decay problem of tri-color lamp.The blue phosphors of Eu2+-doped 3 -A12O3 structure were prepared by combustion method for urea as fuel. Its particle size was even and luminescent intensity was high without agglutination. The optimum of the method was as follows: the raw materials was sent into the furnace at 600# and kept for about 6 minutes; the optimal dosage of urea was 1.2 times as many as that of theoretical value; the mole ratio of boric acid, eurium ion and lithium ion was 0.1,0.14 and 1.2 respectively.The excitation spectra of Eu2+-doped Li- 3 -A12O3 phosphor firstly prepared was that a wide strong peak existed at 328nm when monitored at 450nm. The emission spectra of the phosphor was that a wide emission peak existed at about 460nm when excited at 330nm and 254nm.hi addition, the parameters of hexagon aluminate structure are calculated and computerized. The crystal structure parameter(c/a) of Zn-3 -A12O3, Li- 3 -A12O3, Mg- 3 -A12O3 is 4.05, 4.08,4.02 respectively.
