In this article, a research on solar heating systems analysis and seawater desalination system analysis was developed.F-Chart is a useful compute program for analysis and design of active and passive solar heating systems. In this article, the program had been improved to estimate the long-term average thermal and economic performance of active solar heating system. The program of F-Chart was transformed from Dos to Windows. F-Chart conforms to the Windows standard interface and can be run with minimum of instruction. It would be more convenient for consumer to use this software. At the end of this part, an example of input and output has been given, and explained. The experiment and program simulation of a heat-pump assisted seawater desalination unit was developed. The results of the simulation were in agreement with the experimental results. The unit was improved based on the experimental and simulation results. The improved system was simulated by the computer program, and the simulation results show that the system performance would be improved greatly.A closed air cycle type seawater desalination system was developed. This process use circulated air to enhance evaporate of water, with proper utilization of the latent heat of condensation of water vapor, the process efficiency could be made high. In order to optimize the design of such desalination unit, a simulation program was constructed in which the set of non-linear equations describing the evaporation and condensation were solved numerically. The simulation allows the proper choice of the water flow rate, temperature, the air flow rate, condensate flow rate and temperature to the unit.
