It is important to research site amplification of capital zone, because station network of the capital zone absence informations of site amplification. In this article, I use data that record earthquake wave informations of capital zone, frequency between 1.5 to 18.0 in 2002,the capital network recorded 409 earthquake events in 2002,there are 110 earthquake events that more than and equal to 1.8ML earthquake events in all earthquake events. For the purpose of calculating better results. I divide the capital zone into two zones, one is east zone ,the other is center zone, there are fifity five earthquakes events and fifiteen stations in east zone, there are thirty one earthquakes events and fifiteen stations in center zone. We have qingxi(QIX) station as reference station of east zone, xibozi(XBZ)as reference station of center zone.In article ,1 use coda and S-wave methods to calculate site amplification factors of the capital zone.before calculating site amplification factors of the capital,we will prepare for some works. For example: we change data format of "seed" into data format of "evt" and calculate amplitude spectra of coda. Finally we analysis result of calculating and draw some conclusions:1. Rock of the station is one of important factors that decide site amplification factor.site amplification factor of soft soil great than site amplification factor of hard soil2. Location and geological conditions of station is also factors that response to calculate site amplification. In conclusion: we found that the coda site amplification factor showed good agreement with S-wave site amplification factor within a factor of about l.5. this agreement was.this agreement was expected because codas are dominated by S waves. The agreement between coda site response and S-wave site response has been used to eliminate site effects from S waves.
