Confucianism Of The Korean Mathematical Tendency

This paper 15 on Jiushulue(九数略),a book of middle period of the history of Yidynasty(李朝),its contents and compare it with classic Chinese mathematics(中算)in same period,analyze its magie square(纵横图),study its containingmathematics thought.This paper includes foreword and five parts. Foreword summarize Korean history,development of Confucianism andinstitution of social status of Yi dynasty,give a brief account of exchange history ofclassic Chinese mathematies vs classic Korean mathematics and research presentcondition of classic Korean mathematics(东算). The first part is on the author Cui xiding(崔锡鼎).Cui xiding(1645-1715 year),another name was Ruhe,styled Minggu ,posthumous name was Wenzhen,Minister ofSuzong(肃宗)of Yi dynasty,wrote Jingshizhengyuntushuo(经世正韵图说)andMingguji(明谷集),compiled Zuoshijixuan(左氏辑选).This part briefs partyconflict of the time of Cui xiding,digests the relevant records of Cui xiding ofFactual records of Yi dynasty(李朝实录) The second part summarize Jiushulue' contents.Jiushulue includes four parts,Firstly dividing part introduee the main contents,and put great emphasis on to analyzesome magic square by Cui xiding himself created,evaluate dividing of Cui xiding so-called Confueianists being good at algorithm and magieians being good at algorithm.Jiushulue,in regard to contents besides its author creating some magic square,did notoverstep the times of its author. The third Part make a comParison ofjiushulue and same Period elassie Chinesemathematies,eomPare it to the same Period books ofelassie Chinese mathematies. The forth part is mathematics thought of Jiushulue.As a Confucianist being good atalgorithm,Cui xiding interpreted "number",by standing on the position ofConfucianism,he strained his interpretation of some the Confueianism's core valuessuch as Yili(易理),Xiangshu(象数),Sancai(三才),Yinyangwuxing(阴阳五行),Bagua(八卦),feudal ouler and moral prineiples to some mathematicscontents,reflected Confucianism tendency of classic Korean mathematics, The fifth part generalizes the summary to full paper.
