Using lats~?mouse mated with lats 1 ~?mouse, we gained lats 1?mouse and examined them by PCR.We found the ratio of latsV?less than expected 25 %.onlv 12%. When male latsU?mouse crossed with female lats~?mouse.the ratio of lats I mouse was not 50% but 30%.it was not consistented with the law of Mendel. Futher researching we found some of the later embryo of lats I mouse were dead of internal haemorrhage .it was probabl~?associated with the latsl gene and the mixed genetic background of l29/S~?and C57BL6/J. We compared the growing weight .the development of skeleton.the vaginal smear and the humor level of the lats~? lats~? lats?- mouse.and found there were no obervious difference between lats~ and lats~拁.but most surviving lats~ animals gained weight snowl and had smaller skeleton .All of the lats~ mice were growth retarded. Lats~ male mice displayed decreased fertilitv.but we didn? found obvious structural abnormalities . Lats I ~ females displayed severe fertility defects.the mammary glands of latsU?mice were reduced to a fat pad. ovaries of them contained far fewer follicles than others?,and V g i n~t I smears showed that infertile latsV?has no ohervioiis cycle as normal mice. It remain in continuous metestrus.By serum examining we found that levels of LH were 41% that of controls.while the levels of FSH were normal.We also found latsh female mice developed ovarian stromal cell tumors.When we injected B16 cells into lats攡. lats~拁. lats~ mice.the tumor cell of lats?mice was more than that of lats拁 mice and lats~拁 mice and was more sensitive to tumor cell. At last.we preserved the embryo of IatsV and lats~ mice in frozen with high concentration of EG.
