| The technology of computer visualization and the principle and method ofcoal bed model are discussed in details in the article. The powerful visual coalbed geological information management system (GIMS) is developed for YiminOpen Pit Coal Mine. GIMS consists of three parts: grid coal bed geologicalmodel, geological information database and coal bed visualization. GIMS isdeveloped by Visual Basic, the object-oriented program design language in theenvironment of Windows. The interface of GIMS is normative and uniform, andthe operability is great improved. Good results received in Yimin Open Pit CoalMine shows that GIMS is very practical and easy to operate and the coal bedgeological model developed by GIMS is accurate and reliable. |
