Laser cooling and trapping of atoms is a new field in atomic physics. Physicists pay more attention to it due to its physical significance and the possibility of wide application in the future. In this thesis, some realization of laser cooling and trapping of rubidium atoms is introduced。The technique path of laser cooling and trapping 87Rb is explained. The research and manufacture process of the automatic control system based on the LabVIEW of laser cooling and trapping atom experiment is emphasized.Firstly, the thesis introduces the history and development of atomic interferometer and the history and development of laser cooling and of neutral atoms and molecules. Present status of study and future development are prospected. We introduce some common method of laser cooling and trapping atoms, and then introduce some related principles of laser cooling and trapping of 87Rb atoms.In the second chapter, the specific experiment setup and experiment process have been introduced. Many apparatuses, including lasers, optical units, vacuum system, etc, as well as detecting and control system have been explained.In the third chapter, the laser cooling and trapping atom experiment process control is emphasized. The control process for the laser cooling and trapping atom experimental system based on virtual instrument is explained in details. It is mainly introduced that the research and manufacture process of high accuracy and multi-channel sequential pulse generator based on the LabVIEW, and the acoustic-optical modulator control signal production system, etc.Finally, the thesis summarizes the prime work. Last future works have been prospected.
