| Issues of road safety have acquired the whole world's attention. Traffic accidents not only affect the safety of human life but also result in serious social economic losses. In order to deal with more and more complex road traffic security situation, it is necessary to use advanced information technology to manage traffic accidents'data. By establishing the road traffic safety information system based on GIS and making full use of data entry, data management, spatial analysis and visualization of expression or other functions of GIS, It can combine the road information, accident information and geographic information together to meet the needs of information retrieval and data analysis in the traffic safety departments. Meanwhile, It can provide effective reference for traffic safety analysis and decision making.In this paper, firstly the analysis of road safety information system's requirement based on GIS was done from the perspective of software engineering. Then the function and the overall framework of the system were finished on the basis of former work.As databases and electronic maps platform is the basis of the system, so this paper focused on discussing the construction process of spatial database and attribute database along with the connection method between them. Furthermore, this paper completed electronic maps'being drawn according to spatial database's design. Moreover, this paper discoursed the countermeasure database and model base in detail, which made good preparation for system's further development.In addition, this paper had compared different development modes and development platforms of Applied GIS system, and chosen the suitable development mode and platform for the system. This paper had also determined that the system with C/S (Client/Server) structure could be developed by Delphi, Oracle lOg database, and ArcGIS Engine.In the end, this paper completed the design of interface and the programming function based on the work mentioned above. The paper also took Chuxiong City of Yunnan Province as an example to realize input of the traffic information, query of traffic information, statistical analysis, identification of black spots, security analysis, security trends prediction, intelligent decision-making function and so on. |
