River basin collapsed gully disaster and collapsed gully sensitivity were discussed and studied. In this paper, we take Beizhen and Xiage Town in Zhao'an county of Fujian province as study area where the collapsed gully disaster was severe. Using foreign successful experience for reference, Collapsed gully Geodatabase was established. To build the database, Topography, soil, land use and other spatial information was collected. Also, land cover and growth status of vegetation was extracted from high-resolution remote sensing image. Sample data was collected from 146 collapsed gully erosion area. Based on these data and statistical analysis of influencing factors, the primary collapsed gully sensitivity evaluation indexes were obtained. The following work is to divide the 146 areas into different collapsed gully sensitivity grades according to the index with the help of overlay and analysis functions of GIS. Then vegetation index and land use data was introduced to refine the grades.Finally, After that, this paper put ArcGIS9.0 as the developed platform and Visual Studio 2005 as the developing environment.The system integrates all kinds of geographic data and provides a visual result of collapsed gully sensitivity. It will be helpful to prevention and comprehensive management of collapsed gully sensitivity.
