In china, the issue of executive incentive has been a hot topic for the academic and the practice circle. In this paper, at the base of empirical research about the international review of executive incentives and firm performance, we research the review of executive incentives and firm performance using descriptive statistical analysis and empirical analysis. The results show that there was a significant positive relation between firm performance and top manager compensation through empirical studies. The scales of state-owned firms are larger, the impacts are more significant, there was not a significant positive relation between firm performance and the ratio of incentive shares-owned through empirical studies. And executives of the "zero-holding" is serious, senior equity ratio is low, individual samples were significant differences with each other. These findings may analyze the state-owned enterprise performance incentives exist problems and for the future senior management of state-owned enterprises to design of Incentive program to provide the necessary basis. So it has very important practical and theoretical significance in China's state-owned enterprises.
