Management master Peter Drucker ever said:"The only resource of the enterprises is human, and the mission of management is doing its best to explore human resource. In the knowledge economy times, only knowledge and technology is the core power of the enterprises. And the knowledge workers are the people who own and create the knowledge and technology. The production management, finance management and distribution.ect of the enterprises are easy to be copied and even to be surpassed by opponent competitors. But the competence and creation in HRM is difficult to be copied by opponent competitors, because the knowledge and technology, which is builded on the base of employees, is very difficult to be transferred to other enterprises. Therefore, the work of HRM is the assurement of knowledge creation. Knowledge workers' performance appraisal, which is the one of the core missions in modern HRM, is very importance for improving the enthusiasm of the knowledge workers. But the knowledge workers' performance appraisal in the enterprises, no matter what in the facet of practice or in the research of theoretics, both of which are running short of systemic and scientific appraisal methods. The lag of the research of theoretic affects the practice of the performance appraisal in the enterprises.The main content of this thesis is constructing the knowledge workers' performance appraisal system, and applies it to one enterprise. The first chapter of this thesis gives the research summarize of knowledge workers performance appraisal inside and outside, and puts forward some problems exist in the knowledge workers performance appraisal. And then confirms the research content, intention and the structure of this thesis. The second chapter introduces the relevant theoretics of knowledge workers, performance appraisal, knowledge workers'performance appraisal and the model of AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The third chapter first studies the classification of the knowledge workers' performance appraisal methods, and then analyzes the factors which affect the choice of performance appraisal methods. Finally, it analyzes the validity of the knowledge workers'performance appraisal methods of this thesis researching. The fourth chapter studies the designing process of the knowledge workers' performance appraisal system, including the analysis of the problems existing in performance appraisal; the thinking, the principles, the process of constructing the performance appraisal system; the designing of the performance appraisal indication system; the evaluating criterions of the indications; the methods on how to obtain the data of the indications and how to confirm the weight of the indications. The fifth chapter applies this thesis's methods to the practice, and makes some improving in the methods of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.
