Over the past 30 years of reform and opening up, China has made remarkable achievements. People's ideas, concepts, values have also changed with the doubled national economy, improved lives, and comprehensive national strength. Driven by material interests, bad faith, dishonesty, fraud are breeding and growing, and gradually evolved into a kind of social pollution which seriously hampers the healthy development of the market economy. Therefore, the optimization of China's credit environment has become an an important topic which need to be addressed in our country.This paper mainly discusses the concept of credit environment. Through the analysis of credit environment, we conclude five elememts to impact the credit environment with the approach of conbining theory and practive, history and reality. The five elements are economic factors, government factors, cultural factors, legal factors, and property rights factors, and also discuss the coordination of five elements as well as policy implications. The author believe that the the primary factor affect the current credit status is non-economic factor. So combining with lack of credit performance, the writer put forward the optimizing method of China's credit environment. In China we comply with the traditional culture of honesty and trustworthiness for thousands of years, therefore cultural and moral elements of the credit environment in China has played significant roles. However, in view of great difference in government credit and legal environment, the author indicates the importance of rebuilding the government credit and legal environment, and promoting the property right system in a nationwide. At the same time the government should support measures of credit-related reforms such as: the development of credit intermediation services industry, market-oriented development, and also strengthen the self-disciplinary mechanism of trade associations and other private sector.
