Intra-product Specialization And Transformation And Upgrading Of Processing Trade In Shanxi Research

With the continuous deepening of economic globalization, the intra-product division rapidly rises and becomes the inevitable trend of international division of labor. Intra-product specialization brought about changes in the area of production; therefore countries have invested in the wave of globalization of production, thus bringing the economy among the countries more closely together. While The processing trade is an important way for China's participation in intra-product division, Development of processing trade is China's active participation in international division of labor, the use of the historical development of economic globalization has brought opportunities for a favorable form, but also in line with the international division of labor and world economic development trends. Therefore, from the perspective of the intra-product division of Shanxi upgrading the processing trade will help to enhance the intra-product division of Shanxi in the position of the chain, so that better able to participate in Shanxi intra-product division. Shanxi Province is located in the central inland areas, and processing trade has a late start, so there is a wide gap in the development of scale and level than coastal areas. However, both opportunities and challenges, Shanxi in the international industrial transfer as well as the change in the pattern of processing trade in the regional context, should be integrated resources to vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of processing trade and thus promote the province's economic development mode shift.Restructuring and upgrading of processing trade is divided into two aspects, among them, transition refers to the processing trade by the resource-intensive industries and labor-intensive industries to capital or technology-intensive industries shift; while upgrading, it means that the majority of processing trade enterprises in the industry value chain, the location from the low-end part of the links into the high-end, while along the related supporting enterprises and industries generate and escalating. From the domestic research on the transformation and upgrading of processing trade, many scholars'view mostly focus on the development of processing trade, existing problems, the need for transformation and upgrading, and then the appropriate counter-measures, so the study is basically the same point of view in these areas. Only a few are from the perspective of intra-product division to explore how to achieve the transformation and upgrading of processing trade, while research results are limited.This paper describes intra-product specialization and processing trade theory, and summarizes research results of the scholars at home and abroad, basing on the status quo of the processing trade in Shanxi Province, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis of the method. What'more, this paper analyzes objectively the processing trade of shanxi participating intra-product specialization in size, structure, summing up transformation and upgrading of constraints in the development of processing trade in Shanxi Province, then analyzing the transformation and upgrading of processing trade in Shanxi opportunities and challenges faced, by some countries and regions after the draw on transformation and upgrading of processing trade in the experience of transformation and upgrading of processing trade in Shanxi made the direction and countermeasures and proposals.
